Why Should I Vaporize?
Generally speaking, you’ll find that cannabis users have only one of two stances when it comes to their thoughts on vaporizing. On one side of the fence, you’ll find those who insist that it’s really the only way of getting the job done. They salute technological advances and believe it’s in the best interests of all us to ‘get with the times’…so to speak. On the other side of the fence, anything that isn’t a joint, a blunt, a pipe or a bong is nothing short of heresy. They see the vape crowd as a bunch of hipsters who shouldn’t be calling themselves stoners in any way, shape or form.
Conversely, it’s very rare to come across anyone positioned right in the middle of things. As in those that dabble in both and celebrate the merits of each. If you ask us though, these are the guys (and gals of course) that are getting the very most from their weed.
Now, there’s no denying that when it comes to ceremony…well, there’s really no ceremony to speak of when it comes to vaporizing. It’s simply a delivery method designed to get the job done, which is something critics don’t take kindly to. On the other hand, when it comes to enjoying the product you’ve got your hand on, there’s much to be said for the high-tech way of doing things. Even if you’re not willing to switch to vaping exclusively…and nor should you…it’s definitely worth having a crack at it to see what all the fuss is about.
So for those refusing to take the plunge on principles alone, here’s a quick rundown of eight arguments in favour of vaping you’d be crazy to ignore:

1. It’s Better For Your Health
First of all, yes…it’s true to say that smoking cannabis in any way, shape or form has been proven to most certainly not increase the likelihood of developing lung cancer. It just doesn’t, in fact there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that cannabis can actually reverse the carcinogenic effects of tobacco smoke over time. However, one thing scientists across the board do tend to agree on is that while lung cancer risk isn’t something to worry about, smoking anything whatsoever isn’t what you’d call 100% healthy. It might not harm you in any serious way, but prolonged smoking can nonetheless irritate the lining of the throat and lungs, leading to coughs, dryness, soreness and so on. By contrast, vaporizers keep things so much cooler and purer that there’s virtually no irritation to the throat and lungs whatsoever. So if you ever find your weed habits giving you a cough or sore throat, feel free to give a vape pen a go.
2.You’ll Avoid Hangovers
Well, this isn’t exactly 100% true as you might still have to deal with a little grogginess. However, speak to anyone that’s made the switch to vaping and they’ll tell you that the after-effects the next day are never even a fraction as bad as when they used to smoke heavily. Once again, it’s all down to the cleanliness and purity of the ingestion method. With smoking, you’re inevitably pulling in (and holding in) quite a few things that your throat, lungs, mouth, belly and nose etc. doesn’t take kindly to. With vaping, you’re not. Which means that after a heavy session and a night’s sleep, your body doesn’t have to work nearly as hard to get back to normal. Hence, minimal weed hangovers.
Quite possibly the single biggest argument in favour of vaporizing – you can get away with it where you’d never be able to smoke weed the normal way. The better the device you buy, the more discreet the whole experience and the more freedom you’ll have to get high whenever the hell you like. Of course, there will always be that very distinct cannabis smell there’s little you can do about, but without the huge cloud of smoke, visibly lighting it up and so on. Vape pens are therefore absolutely brilliant when taking trips and travelling long-distances.
4.You’ll Taste More
While some cannabis users are all about getting as high as physically possible, others see the whole experience a little more akin to fine dining. Which is hardly surprising, given the incredible flavour-focused strains doing the rounds these days. So, if you happen to be on this latter side of the fence, it simply makes sense to choose an ingestion method that maximises flavour. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is vaporizing. Now, it’s important to note that there’s every chance you’ll find yourself preferring the flavour of traditional smoke than the taste of vaped weed. They create totally different flavour experiences, but vaping tends to be much cleaner and you can pick out the notes much more prominently without the smoke. Either way, if total taste and flavour is all you’re out for, it simply makes sense to indulge in both!
5.It’s More Cost-Effective
Ok so blowing $250+ on the Lamborghini of vape pens doesn’t represent a small indulgence. However, you’ll probably find yourself saving so much money on cannabis that you’ll soon enough make all the cash back again. Why? Well, quite simply because…painful as it is to take in…smoking cannabis in a joint only converts about 25% of the available THC into ingestible vapour. By contrast, vaping makes sure that around 45% of the stuff gets where it needs to be. Do the maths and you’re looking at an ingestion method that’s almost 100% more effective, meaning 50% less weed needed for the same results. If you’re the type that only smokes the most expensive, premium pot around, you could stand to save a fortune long-term.
6.There’s Awesome Tech to Toy With
Another benefit of getting involved with vaping is the way in which it opens up an enormous pot-based toybox to play with. There are literally thousands and thousands of devices and gadgets on the market right now, with incredible new innovations being made all the time. You’ll never tire of trying out the latest and greatest inventions – especially if you’re already a bit of a sucker for technology.
7.It Gets You Sooooooo High
If you don’t give a damn about flavour, ceremony and so on but simply want to get as high as you can, vaping could be for you. As mentioned, there’s the key fact that vaping makes sure that so much more THC gets into your body than smoking weed the conventional way. Not only this, but as the vaping experience is supremely clean, crisp and smooth, you can hit it so much harder and more rapidly than you ever could a joint or bong. Which means that if getting so baked you can’t see is your top priority, you’ll get there a lot faster with a vape pen.
Last but not least, you know that moment that comes around in most heavy sessions where rolling another joint seems about as easy as building the Eiffel Tower blindfolded? Yep…we all do. Suddenly, the honour of skinning up sounds like the worst form of torture, summarily taking whoever bites the bullet about an hour to roll something totally pathetic. Well, arm yourself with a vape pen of some sort and you’ll never have to worry about anything of the sort again. When you cannot or simply cannot be bothered to roll any more joints, you’ll have something right there in your pocket to hit as hard as you like. And of course, let’s not forget the added bonus of not having to worry about 500 lighters you’ve already lost during the evening – you won’t be needing one.
