When you’re talking hybrid strains as potent, powerful and popular as G-13 and OG Kush…well, it was only a matter of time until some psychopath brought them together to create a super-hybrid. Which they did, giving their terrifying creation the name MK Ultra. If you’re not familiar with what the original MK Ultra experiments were, look it up and you’ll get a pretty good idea why it’s such a fitting handle!
Smoking MK Ultra
An outstanding Indica dominant strain, MK Ultra becomes a first choice among discerning weed smokers and growers globally. It’s had all manner of awards and titles thrown at it over the years and even to this day is considered something of a connoisseur’s choice. Whip a bag of this bad boy out and folk know you mean business…and have seriously good taste to boot.
Musty and earthy in heavy measures, you get an instant hit of peppery-citrus upon lighting MK Ultra. It takes no time at all to do its business, delivering an immediate dose of intense euphoria which slowly melts into a hard-core physical stone, eventually giving way to highly effective couchlock. Suffice to say, it’s a strain to be approached with respect and not to be hit too hard by novices – it might just have you straight on your back!
With strong Indica effects this isn’t a day time medication, the high is strong and long lasting but great if you have Insomnia or are looking to manage pain. MK Ultra isn’t a cerebral strain and can be used to manage stress as it won’t set your head spinning like other hybrids can. Due to it’s mellowing effects it has also been used to manage low level depression and joint pain.
Growing MK Ultra
Pretty small in stature, MK Ultra plants come in at about the 120cm mark at full height with very pretty bold green leaves. Buds are in no short supply ratio-wise and produce a serious amount of glistening resin. A beautiful combo of greens, browns and oranges, you’ll be looking at a THC concentration that could hit a mighty 22%.
The SOG method will usually result in the best possible yields and MK Ultra is well suited to soil and hydro growing alike. A good yield will net you between 300g and 350g for each square metre, equating to around 150g per plant. If you’re planning to grow outdoors, you might need to move to the Med.
